Commuting by One Wheel

A few months ago I bought a One Wheel as a fun way of commuting around Hamilton.

The One Wheel is an electric skateboard that self-balances like a Segway. It has a 30km range on a single charge, with a top speed around 30km/h and is meant to feel like snowboarding (ironically, I can’t skateboard at all and I can barely snowboard).

Spring Cleanup With Mohawk College

On April 06, 2019 in Hamilton, Ontario. ABCD (A Better Community Day) took the initiative of cleaning up litter on the West Mountain! Students, staff members of Mohawk College and John-Paul Danko, Hamilton City Councillor for Ward 8 – West Central Mountain, headed out to pick up the trash in the Bonnington neighbourhood.

Canada’s Largest High School Robotics Competition

On April 6 – 7, 2019 in Hamilton, Ontario. McMaster University hosted one of Canada’s premier science, technology and engineering competitions for high school students. More than 1,000 students, volunteers, parents and sponsors came to campus for the FIRST Robotics Canada District Competition. The competition for high school students pitted the incredible young minds in a qualifying match to design and build robots to solve a problem.
