Allison Park to receive makeover

Allison Park, located in the southeastern portion of Ward 8 in the Allison neighbourhood, is slated to see park improvements this summer.

Allison Park’s current playground includes combined junior and senior play structures, stand-alone features, and swing sets, all of which have provided the community with a place to play and enjoy the outdoors.

In the Fall of 2022, the City published an online survey to the public as an opportunity to gain insight into the features that the Allison Park community would like to have included in the replacement playground design.

Through this previous community engagement survey, results were provided to the bidders to aid in the design of the structures.  The Allison Park playground replacement was initiated and will be funded through Ward 8 Area Funds.

Construction on the new playground is scheduled for this summer, with a tentative start date sometime in June.
