To increase vaccination rates in community hot spots, including additional mobile vaccination clinics will pop-up within these communities – including the L9C postal code in Ward 8.

Those born before and including 1971 and are 50+ or will be turning 50 this year, and live in a “hot spot”, are now eligible to schedule a vaccination appointment.

After more than a year of the COVID19 pandemic, we know that it has been an extremely trying time for Ward 8 residents.

With the changing restrictions throughout the year and now with the ongoing focus on vaccinations, it has been difficult to keep track of the most recent rules and regulations.

However, there is some good news to share!

The City of Hamilton and our community healthcare partners have been steadily working towards vaccinating a significant portion of Hamilton residents, and a large part of that work is happening right here in Ward 8.

Vaccination update for Indigenous populations

This post, from April 9, has a program update for Hamilton’s Indigenous adults who have received their first dose of the COVID vaccine.

Effective immediately, all Indigenous adults in Hamilton will be eligible to receive their second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. All members of the Indigenous community who have received their first dose will be contacted this week with details on appointments for a second dose.

City Council adopts 2021 tax supported operating budget
