Community Safety Meeting this Thursday

$500 million dollar plan selected for City’s entertainment and sports facilities

This article, from July 18, contains information on the $500 million dollar plan to revitalize the Downtown sports and entertainment venues.

Hamilton City Council announced on July 17th that it will move forward with the development plan presented to them by Hamilton Urban Precinct Entertainment Group L.P. (which includes Carmen’s Group, LiUNA, DPAI architects, Fengate Capital, Meridian Credit Union, Paletta International and Jetport Inc.).

The development calls for a $500 million plan to modernize the former Copps Coliseum, to newly renovate the convention centre and concert hall, a major investment in the AGH as well as new residential and affordable housing, and office and retail space.

City of Hamilton Virtual Town Hall – Novel Corona Virus Q&A March 18, 7:00pm

City of Hamilton COVID-19 Town Hall Q&A TONIGHT 7:00pm with Mayor Fred Eisenberger, Office of the Medical Officer of Health and Paul Johnson Director of the City’s Emergency Operations Centre.

The City of Hamilton will be hosting a virtual town hall on Wednesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. in collaboration with Cable 14.

The town hall will be live on Cable 14 and streamed live on the City’s YouTube channel.

Residents are invited to submit questions for the town hall at www.hamilton.ca/covidquestions or via Twitter by tagging @cityofhamilton.

In order to promote social distancing, the town hall will only be presented virtually. In-person attendance is not available for residents or media.

Hamilton Climate Change Event with Diane Saxe
