The HSR will face some financial issues going forward as Mohawk College’s student association has asked to suspend its transit pass agreement with the city over the summer.

The City and local post-secondary institutions, such as Mohawk, McMaster, and Redeemer University, have what is called a University/College Transit Pass Agreements (UCTP) which gives full-time students unlimited access to the HSR at a discounted rate.

HSR Detours Impacting Mohawk College Bus Terminal

This article contains information regarding HSR detours due to a reconstruction project at the Mohawk College Terminal.

The HSR will be detouring a number of its routes due to a reconstruction project taking place at the Mohawk College Terminal, a hub for Ward 8 riders. The construction project started on Friday, May 15 and is expected to last until May 29.

Routes 20, 21, 33, and 35 will be detoured during this time. The HSR has provided communication for those effected, which you can read below.
