Claremont Access Steel Facing Wall 3, 4, and part of 4A Removal

The City recently shared information with abutting property owners about the upcoming removal of the steel facing wall along the Claremont Access. The Ward 8 office wants to keep residents informed on upcoming work involving the Claremont Access.

The City states that this summer, the Claremont Access Retaining Wall 3, 4, and part of 4A will be removed. The project has already been tendered and closed and the Award is in process.

Residents who received a letter (those abutting or on top of the project area), will be notified 48 hours prior to construction.

There will be some inconveniences for residents; including dust, noise, vibrations and other construction related activities. The City is requesting resident patience.

Construction activity will occupy the entire width of the downbound lanes of the Claremont Access, as well as rope activity from the top of the escarpment around Sam Lawrence Park. Homeowners should be aware that there properties will not be used, but that they may see personnel movement around the top of the escarpment.
