Hello Ward 8 Neighbours,

As the summer construction season continues into August, the Rolston neighbourhood has seen the brunt of road re-surfacing this summer in Ward 8 – with more re-surfacing planned for Rolston Drive.

For more details, please continue reading below…

Construction on Lynbrook Drive commenced in late June and the majority of the work is scheduled to substantially be completed by September 5.

The work involves repair of concrete curbs and sidewalks (at various locations); milling the roadway and re-surfacing with hot mix asphalt. The cost of the work along Lynbrook Drive is $750,000.

The work on Rolston Drive will feature road resurfacing and sidewalk repair. The current road conditions on Rolston Drive, stretching from Miami Drive to Mountbatten Drive is in extremely poor condition.

$600,000 will be allocated for the facelift of Rolston Drive – $500,000 from the Council Priority – Ward 8 Minor Rehabilitation Fund with the rest of the balance funded from the Ward 8 Area Rating Reserve Account.

With the work being done along Lynbrook Drive and Rolston Drive, the Rolston neighbourhood will now see $1.35m invested in roadway resurfacing and $3 million across the Ward in the last year.
