With air quality becoming an increasingly important issue for Canadians, Clean Air Day aims to raise awareness and educate the community about the importance of clean air.
According to Green Venture, Clean Air Day will be a fun, family-friendly event with the message that air quality impacts human health, particularly in children who are still growing and developing.
Those attending Clean Air Day will have the opportunity to learn about air quality from local experts and from local children who have completed action projects aimed at improving the air quality in their communities.
This Health Canada supported initiative aims to raise awareness about air quality and to educate the public on how to maintain clean air in Hamilton and beyond.
Event Highlights:
● Smoothie Bikes: Attendees can pedal to power blenders and create fresh smoothies on the spot.
● Repair Café: Community volunteers will be available to mend and repair used clothing, electronics, tools, and small appliances, extending their life cycle and reducing waste.
● Informative Booths and Activities: Learn from local environmentally-conscious organizations and enjoy various activities designed for all ages.
● Short Film Screenings: Selected students will present short films about clean air
Attendees are encouraged to bike or use public transit to attend the event,
