Hamilton Community Safety Survey

This post, from February 15, has information on a Community Safety Survey being conducted by Wilfrid Laurier University.

Hello Ward 8 Neighbours,

Wilfrid Laurier University is conducting an online survey to better understand the perceptions of safety and victimization of individuals across the City of Hamilton, and are inviting Hamiltonians to participate in the Hamilton Community Safety Survey.

For more details, please continue reading below…

You will be asked to complete a short survey (approximately 15-20 minutes) sharing your perceptions and experiences of community safety in Hamilton. Participants will also be asked to complete some demographic questions. This allows researchers to determine if certain groups (ex. women) experience community safety differently from others. This information will not be used to identify you in any way.

Individual responses to the survey will remain confidential. All responses will be aggregated to protect the confidentiality of participants. Any identifying information will be removed or assigned a pseudonym to maintain this confidentiality. All data will be stored on secure, and Laurier approved, OneDrive cloud storage.

For more information on the research being conducted, please visit the official site here.
