Hamilton Urban Forest Strategy seeking public engagement

Engage Hamilton is launching the Urban Forest Strategy, a plan to ensure the long-term health of Hamilton’s urban forest. It will be a community-developed vision and actions in maintaining and growing the urban forest.

2 weeks ago, the Ward 8 office provided details on a what exactly the Urban Forest Strategy is and why it’s important.

For the past two years, the City of Hamilton’s Development Planning, Heritage and Design Section has been working with stakeholders, residents, and other City staff to prepare an Urban Forest Strategy for Hamilton.

The time has now come for residents to have their say and provide input and direction on Hamilton’s Urban Forest Strategy. Two draft reports are now available for your review and comment: the Urban Forest Strategy and the Technical Report.

In addition to providing feedback on the Urban Forest Strategy and the Technical Report via Engage Hamilton; residents join the Virtual Meeting on February 9, 2021 from 6:30 to 8:30 pmListen to a presentation on the urban forest strategy and provide comments. You can submit your questions beforehand.
