The HSR will soon be looking to recruit new bus operators to join its team. With a focus on women, who remain under-represented in the industry, the HSR will be hosting a special information session on March 8th to encourage more women to consider a career in transit.

A message from Mauryn Cosyn Heath, Director of Transit:
SheMoves is a celebration of women in public transit careers, highlighting achievements and contributions of women in this dynamic industry. In a panel presentation format, we share stories from trailblazing women who have made their mark in the world of public transportation and give firsthand accounts of the experiences, challenges, and triumphs in the field.
This is designed to promote working at the City of Hamilton in Transit and focuses on the role of Bus Operator. New for 2024, we are expanding to include positions in the Maintenance section as we seek to attract new applicants in maintenance and skilled trades.
