This morning, Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger and Ward 8 Councillor John-Paul Danko attended Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s campaign stop on the Hamilton Mountain to raise Hamilton’s priorities for Monday’s federal election with the Prime Minister and Liberal Party of Canada candidates.

The City of Hamilton’s priorities for the federal government include:
- Permanent, predictable federal investment in City of Hamilton infrastructure like roads, bridges, sewers, water treatment and recreation facilities.
- Appropriate public transit funding to support Hamilton’s long-term growth both within the City and regionally.
- Assistance with housing affordability through capital repairs, rental supports and financial incentives.
- Funding for disaster mitigation and adaptation support.
- Support and funding for Hamilton’s climate change initiatives.
