Municipal Service Centres closed to the public until further notice

In late December, we brought you information on the City of Hamilton redeploying staff as we enter the Omicron wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. For a list of closures, and how those closures may affect you, a full list can be found below:

In December 2021, in an effort to redirect staffing resources to aid with vaccination efforts in the face of surging COVID-19 infections, the City announced a number of closures and impacts to municipal programs.

Detailed information about services, facilities and programs that are currently modified or cancelled is below.

City Hall

City Hall is currently open for in-person services. This includes the municipal service counter and the planning counter.

Clerks Services (death certificates, commissioning services, etc.) require an appointment. Residents can call 905 546 CITY (2489) for an appointment. Residents are encouraged to access municipal services online where available: www.hamilton.ca/onlinecityservices 

Municipal Service Centres

Municipal Service Centres are closed to the public.

Our Customer Contact Centre is open Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm

  • For residents in Campbellville, dial 905-634-2971
  • The Bell Canada Relay Service is available to assist in placing a call from persons who use a TTY/teletypewriter.
  • For TTY, type 711 for the operator. The operator will also assist in placing VCO (Voice Carry Over) and HCO (Hearing Carry Over) calls. There is no charge for local calls.
  • Translation is available in 149 languages. When calling, callers can identify their language preference to be connected to the appropriate interpreter.

Recreation Centres

All recreation centres are currently closed and indoor programming is cancelled.
Some outdoor programming is continuing, with additional health and safety measures in place.

Seniors Centres & Clubs

All Seniors Centres and Clubs are closed to the public.

Museums

All museums are closed to the public.

Gage Park Greenhouse

The Gage Park Greenhouse is closed to the public.

Hamilton Business Centre

The Hamilton Business Centre service counter in City Hall is closed to the public.

Licensing service counter

The licensing service counter at 330 Wentworth St N is closed to the public.

Hamilton Water service counter

The Hamilton Water service counter at 330 Wentworth St N is closed to the public.

EarlyON Child & Family Centre Indoor & Outdoor Programs

All EarlyON Child & Family Centre Indoor & Outdoor Programs are closed until further notice. Virtual programming will continue at this time. Visit http://ascy.ca/earlyon-child-and-family-centres/ to view and register for virtual EarlyON programming
