The Ward 8 office is excited to announce that Captain Cornelius Park, located in Ward 8’s Rolston neighbourhood, is now open for business after a complete redesign of the entire area and the installation of a brand new play structure.

Back in July 2019, Councillor Danko introduced a motion to allocate $60,000 from the Ward 8 area-rating fund to enhance the play equipment at the park, located off of Mountbatten Drive near Westview Elementary School.
In addition to the new play structure, a planned expansion of Captain Cornelius Park has taken place, with the addition of accessible trails and new community gardens. Original plans of the expansion can be found here, and the Ward 8 office previously covered the Captain Cornelius redesign here:
