Reimagining Neighbourhoods

This post, from November 18, has information on the Reimagining Neighbourhoods project.

Hello Ward 8 Neighbours,

With residential zoning changing across Hamilton, the City is seeking public input on what those changes could look like.

For more details, please continue reading below…

Reimagining Neighbourhoods is about providing housing choice and more affordable housing options for the residents of Hamilton. As these residential zones change, the City of Hamilton wants to provide residents with the opportunity to provide feedback, so that it understands better community members’ priorities.

The City of Hamilton’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 05-200 came into effect on May 25, 2005, and is being implemented in stages. This Zoning By-law applies to the entire City of Hamilton and is replacing the Zoning By-laws of the former municipalities.

The final phase of this project is focused on residential zones in the urban area. The purpose of this project is to implement the policies of the Urban Hamilton Official Plan to create consistent residential zones across the entire urban area of Hamilton.

With that said, the City is inviting the public to understand the Reimagining Neighbourhoods project by visiting the locations below. Residents can stop by the project booth to pick up information or talk to a member of the project team.
