Swing and a drive: Gourley Park baseball registration is now open

This article, March 23, has information for parents interested in registering their kids for baseball this year.

Gourley Park, an area of Ward 8 stretching from West 5th to Garth and Limeridge to Stone Church Road, has now opened registration for this year’s baseball/slo-pitch leagues. The league is slated to run until end of August.

The Gourley Park baseball league is a strictly non-competitive House League Level program.  The league normally runs from June until the end of August with one game per week which entails 12-14 games during the season. 

Gourley Park baseball has run continually since 2008 with the exception of 2020.  In 2021, Gourley Park were one of the very few leagues that scheduled and ran a ball program from the beginning to the end without interruption.

Gourley Park Youth Baseball Registration (ages 4-17) is online and currently on-going.  There are 6 different levels of baseball available.  Gourley Park welcomes all participants, no prior experience necessary.  Play will be from June 2nd – Aug 27th on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights.  

Junior or Senior T-ball ages 4-6, 5-pitch ages 7-8, 3-Pitch ages 8-11, Junior Slo-Pitch ages 11-14 and the oldest level is Senior Slo-Pitch ages 14-17 that plays twice weekly on Mondays & Thursdays.  The cost is $85-$110.
