Starting October 15th, the upbound lane of Beckett Drive, connecting Queen Street South to Garth Street, will be closed for six weeks.

Starting at 5:00am on October 15th, work will start on the upbound (from the lower city to the Mountain) portion of Beckett Drive.
The anticipated work includes repairs to the parapet wall, the installation of planters as well as repairs to the retaining wall.
The duration of the work project is slated to last 6 weeks, weather permitting.
As stated, the upbound lane will be closed for the duration of construction, while the downbound lanes will be maintained at all times. Warning boards should be seen in advance of the project’s start date.
Ward 8 residents who regularly utilize the upbound lane of Beckett Street for their commute will need to use the planned detour route (in blue below).
