MHBC Planning, on behalf of the developers Valery Homes, will be hosting a Virtual Neighbourhood Information meeting addressing the redevelopment of the lands on 1494 Upper Wellington Street on January 18, 2024.

A Zoning By-law Amendment Application is being proposed for the redevelopment of the lands municipally addressed as 1494 Upper Wellington Street.
A Neighbourhood Information Meeting is being held in advance of the submission of formal applications to present the proposal and obtain public input. Please note that no decisions will be made at this meeting, and it is an opportunity for residents to meet the project team and learn about the development proposal and next steps in the planning process.
The Urban Hamilton Official Plan designates the lands as ‘Neighbourhoods’ which permits multiple residential uses, including apartment buildings. The lands are currently zoned ‘Agricultural (AA)’ and are proposed to be rezoned with site-specific regulations to permit the proposed use. The proposal
includes two residential buildings, with structured parking integrated into a podium, and amenity space.
