This article, from June 9, includes information about the launch of the AGH’s online collection.

Hello Ward 8 Neighbours,

With COVID-19 enforcements in place for public gatherings, it has been a quiet few months for our friends at the Art Gallery of Hamilton.  Although they’ve been releasing film collections, online magazine articles, and activities for the whole family throughout the pandemic, it has really felt like something is missing. That is about to change.

For more details, please continue reading below…

As of June 4, you can enjoy over 10,000 works in the AGH’s vast collection, including collections of Canadian, international, and contemporary artworks.

The virtual museum welcomes you into the AGH vaults to view paintings, sculptures, drawings, and photographs all online. Search specific pieces or filter by category or artist. Some images are not shown due to either copyright reasons or a lack of high-resolution imagery available, the database features thousands of works of art, including many works not currently on display in the gallery spaces.
