Towne Place Suites, located at 1195 Upper James Street, opened its doors on November 17 becoming the newest business to establish itself in Ward 8. The hotel, which is pet-friendly, features 125 rooms, including 12 which are accessible and is aimed at extended stay travellers.

The hotel is a joint venture between the Mississauga-based Kothari Group and the Sigma Group from Oakville, who shared their excitement in their press release:
“We’re excited to bring the TownePlace Suites by Marriott to Hamilton. With the support of the City of Hamilton, our business partners, suppliers and Marriott International, we’re incredibly proud and excited to be part of the tremendous growth in the city of Hamilton.”

According to the Hamilton Mountain News, employees hired by Towne Place Suites were from local agencies such as Path Employment, YWCA Hamilton and the Ontario Disability Employment Network.
And when it comes to COVID-19 safety, all guests and associates must wear masks in the public/common areas.
