Green Venture, whose goal is to empower Hamiltonians to implement greener practices in their homes and communities to make our city a climate champion, is encouraging residents to learn about their energy programs.

Green Venture’s program centers around reducing emissions while also improving the comfort of residents’ homes. Green Venture also aims to help homeowners reduce monthly energy and insurance costs, improve the value and resiliency of their home, and create jobs in sustainability to support the local economy. Green Venture is also working to develop trusted contractor lists and a resource database to make the retrofit process easier for any interested participants.
Green Venture is happy to consult with any interested Ward 8 residents regarding the home energy retrofits eligibility and process. As more interest builds around home energy retrofits, Green Venture have increased the number of Registered Energy Advisors on their team and are on track to complete 300+ home energy evaluations in 2022.
Green Venture Advisors work with the Greener Homes Grant and the Home Efficiency Rebate to facilitate the distribution of up to $5,600 for home energy evaluations and recommended improvements.
