From Action 13:
Spare a Square for Pollinators with Lorraine Johnson
Hamilton residents are invited to join Action 13 for a special guest talk, info session, and book raffle!
Renowned author Lorraine Johnson will start us off with a quick pep talk on our ability to protect biodiversity and to deeply, profoundly enjoy ourselves while doing so.
Next, Action 13 will share how you can get involved in the Spare a Square parks pilot we’ll propose to the City, to bring pollinator havens to your local park.
This is a community-led pilot, and the session will detail how you can get involved, whether as a leader or participant – no garden required!
Finally, we’ll draw for Lorraine Johnson’s and Sheila Colla’s new book, A Garden for the Rusty-Patched Bumblebee: Creating Habitat Gardens for Native Pollinators. Three topics – one Zoom party – less than an hour.
Please note that this event is intended for Greater Hamilton Area residents.
Where and when: Zoom, Wednesday, July 27, starting at 7:00 pm
