Reminder: Volta Charities Walk and Ride

This post, from July 9, has information on Luso Charities and its upcoming charitable walk, run or ride taking place on July 14.

Hello Ward 8 Neighbours,

Councillor Danko was recently invited to tour the Hamilton branch of Luso Canadian Charitable Society, a charitable organization that provides a safe, supportive and caring environment for individuals & families living with physical and/or developmental disabilities.

For more details, please continue reading below…

The Luso Canadian Charitable Society, founded in 2002 in Toronto, delivers a multitude of services for adults and families living with physical or developmental disabilities.

Luso offers a multitude of programs such as Life Skills, Technology Training, Socialization and Community Integration which helps those accessing their programs feel connected to their local community, and empowers independence and inclusion for persons with disabilities.

In early June, Councillor Danko had the chance to tour their Barton Street facility and better understand Luso’s vision and goals within the Hamilton Community.

One way those in Ward 8 could give back to this important and integral community organization is by participating in their upcoming charitable Walk, Run or Ride, which will be taking place on July 14th. More details can be found below.
