Our Sincerest Apologies

This post, from December 6, is an apology from the Ward 8 office for erroneously reporting the end date of leaf and yard waste pick-up.

Hello Ward 8 Neighbours,

In our newsletter last week, we erroneously reported that the City would be ending leaf and yard waste pick-ups the week of December 6. We were mistaken.

For more details, please continue reading below…

We reported the following last week: https://ward8hamilton.ca/reminder-curbside-yard-waste-collection-changes-begin-december-6-2021/, suggesting that leaf and yard waste pick-up would be ending the week of December 6. It actually ended the week of November 27. A major error on our part.

Although the City did everything possible to provide notice of the date change we understand that we were not successful reaching everyone.

For those of you looking to rid yourself of the leaf and yard waste bags, drop offs can be done at Community Recycling Centres located at Kenora Avenue or Upper Ottawa Street. If you are able, the Kenora location is much less busy than Upper Ottawa.

Again, our sincerest apologies for this error.
