This article from April 28 includes information about the latest consultant’s report looking into the Chedoke Creek spill and its findings.
Hello Ward 8 Neighbours,
On November 28, 2019, the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) issued a Director’s Order to the City of Hamilton in relation to a combined sewage discharge from the Main/King Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) facility to Chedoke Creek that occurred between January 28, 2014 and July 18, 2018.
The Order in question included a requirement for an evaluation of the impact of the sewage discharge to Cootes Paradise. That report from SLR Consulting, which the city retained for this requirement, has now released its report.
