What are you reading, Ward 8?

Please enjoy this week’s What are you Reading submissions! We’d love to see what you’re reading – send us your recommendations and we’ll include them in our newsletter!

Hello Ward 8 Neighbours,

You’ve shown us your wonderful art work during our #Ward8Art challenge and now we’re looking for your reading recommendations.

We have a few submissions to get the ball rolling. If you want to share what you’re reading, send your name, book title and author and a little snippet of what it is about to ward8@hamilton.ca  or #ReadingWard8 on Twitter.

Please continue reading below…

Our friend Brian is currently reading “A Gentleman in Moscow” by Amor Towles. Brian says it’s a great escape to another place and time.

Lola is only 16 months old, but loves hearing her name when reading “Lola Dutch” with her parents. Kenneth and Sarah Jane Wright have created a story about caring, sharing, and looking out for each other.

Lindsay is reading “The Nest” by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney, which follows the trials and tribulations of the Plumb family. A funny, heart-wrenching read.

Shane is reading “The Biography of Tottenham Hotspur” by Julie Welch, an in-depth look at the famous North London based football club, which has been a staple of English soccer since 1888. As a self-described sports history nerd, he’s loved learning about the beginnings of the club and its rise, fall, and rise again in the game. As a Spurs fan, it’s a great read.
