For more details, please continue reading below…

At the February 13 Public Works committee, Councillor Danko put forward a motion requesting investment at the Trieste Bocce Club.

The Club, located at 60 DiCenzo Drive, requested rolling door options to provide for more shelter during weather events, as well as a way to extend the bocce playing season.

The motion, presented and passed the February 13 Public Works committee (and subsequently at Council) authorizes staff to determine the feasibility of enclosing the club with rolling doors. The cost of the study will be covered by the Ward 8 Area Rating Reserve Account to an upset limit of $2,500.

In addition to the feasibility study, an upset limit of $25,000 from the Ward 8 Area Rating Reserve Account will be used as required, to fund the investigation of options to determine next steps (design options, entrance & exits, overhead lighting, HVAC systems, construction cost estimation etc.) for the Trieste Bocce Club.

The Ward 8 office will keep residents informed on the developments at the Trieste Bocce Club.
